D&D SHIRT

Last year an art director from Jinx emailed me about doing a T-shirt design for them after seeing some of my work in Kobold Quarterly (thanks again, Wolfgang!). When I found out it was for the D&D 4E license, I nearly flipped! They wanted an old school look to the design, reminiscent of the old pen & ink illustrations in the first Player's Handbook and Monster Manual. This was very different from my regular style, but I think it was the right choice and worth the extra effort. Hope you folks like it. And if you want a shirt of your very own, you can order it here.

INFERNO

Here are some illustrations I did for the recently released Inferno book for White Wolf's WOD RPG. The book is filled with lots of creepy stuff that was very fun to illustrate. My copy of The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King came in very handy (it's better not to ask why I have that book in my collection in the first place). I also got to work in a reference to the cult film Phantom of the Paradise, one of my favorite movies, as well as a little nod to Francis Bacon. Yay!

FIRST POST!

Hey folks, this is Pat Loboyko. Welcome to my art blog. Here you will find illustrations I've done for a variety of clients, some personal works, and sketches. I also plan to post the occasional glimpse at the working methods I employ to create images like these. Now onto the art! First up are several illustrations I've done for Wolfgang Baur's excellent role-playing magazine, Kobold Quarterly.
